So this is faith?

From the Salt Lake Tribune:

Homosexuality not normal
Public Forum Letter

I commend Latter-day Saint leaders for instructing California Mormons to support the marriage amendment that will be on the November ballot. Contrary to Ben Jarvis, Californians do not believe in homosexual marriages ("Fight LDS marriage ban," Forum, July 5). In 2000, voters adopted Proposition 22 to ban gay marriage by 61 percent. This democratic vote was overturned by a few activist judges who placed their will above that of the people.
The family is the fundamental cell of society. The family - and through it, all human society - has its source and origin in marriage. Marriage is ordered to the procreation and education of offspring.
Homosexual acts are contrary to natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. No scientific evidence confirms homosexual activity as a normal behavior. The "gay gene" has never been found.
Sexual orientation does not constitute a quality comparable to race, ethnicity, gender or age in respect to nondiscrimination. Unlike these, homosexual orientation is an objective disorder and evokes moral concern. In suggesting otherwise, Jarvis exploits tolerance in the service of a particular ideology.

  1. Yeah, when I read that at the breakfast table, my moral concern was evoked.

    Gag me.

Does that mean his sexual orientation is an objective disorder and evokes moral concern? Oh wait, I forgot I chose to be gay.

  3. Wow, I'd like to never meet this guy. Such a close-minded and arrogant and wanna-be ablsoutist would kill me for how hypocritical he would surely be. He's failed to notice the rest of the world that doesn't fall right in front of his nose. This is NOT faith.

  4. Wow, this just makes my decision to give money to No on Prop 8 and boycott Utah so much stronger.
